Mission, vision and values

Our mission

ICHEC enables its students to develop their talents and educates them to become responsible as well as open-minded managers.

In order to accomplish this mission, ICHEC adopts a rigorous approach to its academic programs, informed by research, with an emphasis on business practice.  Our graduates gain the knowledge, skills and competences which are necessary to embark on a lifelong learning process.

The ICHEC spirit is founded on the values of respect, solidarity and integrity.

Our vision

We want to create new narratives allowing us to imagine, design and manage resilient organizations that serve peaceful coexistence, social justice and ecological regeneration, here and elsewhere. We are taking up the challenge of in-depth transformation towards a socio-economic system respectful of the planetary boundaries, by actors who are aware that they belong to the Living World.

ICHEC was founded in 1954. In the tradition of leading business schools, ICHEC offers day and night management programmes, either as initial training or continuous education.

ICHEC is not just a management school, but also a community on a human scale where everyone carefully considers and implements strategies that guarantee the reputation and high standards with which the school has always been associated.

The foundations of our school

International perspective

Located in Brussels, at the heart of Europe, international exposure is one of the academic cornerstones of our school. We have signed over 100 bilateral agreements with universities and schools across Europe and around the world.

Students of some 60 nationalities thrive each year with our hands-on approach to language as well as having numerous opportunities for international work placements and exchanges, offered as early as the first year of our Bachelor's programmes.

Among our 15,000 alumni, almost 10% currently live and work abroad.

Academic excellence

The quality of ICHEC and its programmes has earned it solid recognition nationally and worldwide: the institution is the first French-speaking Belgian Management School to obtain the American AACSB quality label. Our option in finance is recognised by the CFA (Chartered Finance Analyst). Lastly, ICHEC is the first French-speaking Belgian member of the prestigious CLADEA network, an international network of management schools based in Latin America.

Business Experience

Our university level educational project is rooted in the perfect coordination of theory and practice. Thanks to the close and solid links with the business world, we offer our students unique work experience placements both in Belgium and abroad, which are available throughout their course.

Once graduated, former students commit to a process of lifelong learning and develop their network through various events organised by ICHEC Alumni.

Innovative teaching methods

ICHEC tailors to the needs of each and every student! Our small-scale auditoriums and numerous activities conducted in small groups mean that we can be very close to our students.

Our tutorial support team offers mentoring, conversation sessions, support workshops and individual tutoring to enable every student to succeed in his/her studies.

Our student social service  advises and assists students dealing with difficulties of a personal, family or financial nature. We also offer, on request, support measures for students with specific needs.

Gender equality plan

The Haute Ecole ICHEC-ECAM-ISFSC is committed to diversity, pluralism, openness and tolerance towards all staff, students and other stakeholders of the institution as well as in its teaching and research missions. Find out more about our gender policy below.
