CREDEX joins public authorities, policy makers, HEIs and VET providers, CCIs support organisations, professionals and business in codesigning
an effective model for the establishment, assessment, and improvement of microcredentials (MC) frameworks for CCIs.

The
project will:
- Identify best practices, needs and gaps in local MC ecosystems in the EU and beyond by providing a thorough analysis of existing
literature, and by delivering a specific impact assessment in terms of uptake and relevance for the CCI job market.
- Facilitate the establishment, uptake, and applicability of MC frameworks and ecosystems for CCIs by building on existing best
practices. It will support co-design among stakeholders to deliver a new set of guidelines and tools through a series of 16 Living Labs.
- Incentivise mutual recognition of MC frameworks among MS and regions, by testing the applicability of the Roadmap at local and
cross-national levels (5 local pilots, one cross-national).
-Foster policy discussion and follow-up actions on how to make MC relevant for employability and long-life learning within CCIs by
establishing a multistakeholder Policy Forum, to be integrated within initiatives such as the CP4S-LSP.

Needs addressed

CREDEX Roadmap and set of policy recommendations on how to assess, improve, and connect each local ecosystem will support all
participants in experimenting with policy measures and approaches to:
- Assess each local framework against EU guidelines and recommendations
- Identify best practices in design, issuance, quality assurance, certification, validation, recognition, stackability, portability and
transferability
- Engage the right type and number of stakeholders to ensure that the policy experimentation in the Pilots is in line with industry
needs and learners’ expectations.

Expected results

CREDEX results will be mainstreamed into identified initiatives, to allow it to contribute to the 2030 targets set out by the EU Pillar of
Social Rights Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda.
