ICHEC and UCLouvain to Host CIFEPME 2026 in Brussels

From 27 to 30 October 2026, ICHEC Brussels Management School and UCLouvain will co-host in Brussels the 18th edition of the International Francophone Conference on Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CIFEPME), marking the 30th anniversary of the International Association for Research in Entrepreneurship and SMEs (AIREPME).

Held every two years, CIFEPME is a leading event for the French-speaking entrepreneurship and SME research community. Researchers, academics, doctoral students and practitioners come together to discuss developments in their fields, compare approaches and explore new research perspectives.

This anniversary edition will be held under the theme “Building Research for Entre-Prendre”. It invites participants to rethink entrepreneurship as a process of creation, transmission and transformation, while questioning the role of research in addressing today’s major societal, economic and environmental challenges.

The programme will feature general and thematic scientific sessions, panel discussions, a doctoral consortium dedicated to PhD candidates, and several professional development workshops.

The conference is jointly chaired by Marine Falize and Laurent Lahaye (ICHEC), who serve as co-chairs of the organizing committee. The scientific committee is co-chaired by Roxane De Hoe (ICHEC) and Amélie Jacquemin (UCLouvain), with the support of Julie Hermans and Frank Janssen as vice-chairs.

Through this event, ICHEC and UCLouvain aim to contribute to the development of rigorous, open and engaged research that supports entrepreneurship, SMEs and their broader societal impact.
